A distinguished Japanese research team recently embarked on an enlightening visit to a selected destination. Comprised of experts from various fields, their mission was to conduct extensive research, gather data, and collaborate with local organizations and experts to advance knowledge and understanding in their respective domains.

Dr Kazushi Takahashi from The Graduate Research Institute for Policy Studies (GRIPS), Japan along with one of his Master’s students Mr Yuma Noritimo visited the project locations in Gaibandha, last month. The team stayed there for a week-long and visited several projects like High Frequent Data Collection for Ultra-poor Households and Savings Scheme Project for ultra-poor Households.
The project has been implemented by a local NGO, Gaibandha Rural Development Foundation (GRDF). The project has been phased out by repaying the savings amount to the project beneficiaries with due interest amount as per project design.
