Short Bio:
Syed Riaz Mahmud is an Assistant Manager (Research) at MOMODa FOUNDATION, a leading research organization in Bangladesh that works on various social and economic issues. He is a statistician by training and a researcher by passion. He has extensive experience in designing, conducting, and analyzing surveys using various tools such as Stata, Microsoft Excel, SurveyCTO, and World Bank Survey Solution System.
He has also been involved in several projects on topics such as health, education, governance, poverty, and the environment. He has published his research findings in prestigious scientific journals such as BMC Medicine, and the Journal of Global Health.
Mr. Mahmud holds a master’s degree in statistics from National University, Bangladesh. He worked as a research consultant with Tokyo University, Japan, and Hitotsubashi University Tokyo, Japan. He is also a data science enthusiast.
