Dr Israt Jahan is an assistant professor of economics at the University of Wisconsin La Crosse. She has a Ph.D. in agricultural and applied economics from Texas Tech University and a master’s degree in applied labour economics for development from the University of Turin.
She specializes in development economics, political economy, institutions, entrepreneurship, informal employment, corruption, and gender. She teaches courses on microeconomics and public policy, data analysis for business applications, and introduction to international economics. She also conducts research on various topics related to her areas of expertise and publishes her findings in academic journals.
